The August CAP Collaborative newsletter features CAP Intern, Isabella Cecchi, and her research on effective communication for climate action, particularly as it relates to the 18-40 year-old demographic. The outcome of her research underscores the importance of connecting messages to cultural values, understanding language nuances, and avoiding alarmism.
The CAP Collaborative is also excited to announce the establishment of the Routt County Climate Action Fund held at the Yampa Valley Community Foundation. Contributions can currently be made to this fund via a partnership with Yampa Valley Regional Airport (YVRA) and The Good Traveler program. Residents and visitors can voluntarily mitigate their air travel emissions to and from YVRA via mileage-based donations. These contributions support LOCAL climate projects spanning habitat restoration, waste reduction, renewable energy adoption and climate-friendly transport.
We invite you to sign up for our newsletter if you haven’t already and share with your family and friends to keep the climate conversation going.
