Our unseasonably warm December is an unwelcome reminder of the urgency and importance of taking climate action now. The CAP Collaborative remains committed to this mission and to the implementation of the CAP’s 40 recommended actions. We are confident we have the climate solutions and tools we need to make real progress, and we have plenty to celebrate as we wrap up the year. Some 2025 highlights include:
- Completion of Routt County’s 2023 Greenhouse Gas Emission Inventory.
- Launch of the Collaborative’s Colorado Energy Office – Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant to implement county-wide building electrification and decarbonization.
- Geothermal groundbreaking at Hayden’s Northwest Colorado Business Park.
- Overwhelming voter approval to form a Yampa Valley Regional Transportation Authority.
- Inaugural Routt County Climate Action Collaborative Fund awards.
